Thank you for your beautiful photos — and for your perspectives on India, Boston and life. Three of my favorite “places.” Peace to you in this new year.
Arun Says:
Thank you for your wishes!
Best three “places”: India, Boston and life? Have to agree! Now I am trying to reconcile all three! Best Wishes to you and your family
Arun, Tempeh is very much like tofu in the sense that it is a soy product, basically a whole soybean product, and you can actually see the whole soy in them, kinda compressed. It has a different texture than tofu… I did not seem to like it that much.
Would prefer tofu anyday, it is like a sponge that absorbs all the flavors that I throw in. Tempeh was a little bland for me.
Me in Seattle braving the cold!
(It isn’t that cold, just that I got a little carried away as it started snowing)
Oh boy! I wasn’t even done with the last comment… Oops!
Adai and Chutney, and those brownies from today coming your way!
BTW, very cute pic of you and M! Hope you both have a wonderful and fabulous New Year 2009 and beyond.
Arun Says:
Thank you for that tutorial on tempeh; saves me the trouble of looking for it. I like cooking with tofu, particularly with cauliflowers for a nice “high protein” sabzi.
And thank you for your nice words about the pic!
Wishing you and your family an awesome New Year!
and thanks for that adai/chutney :-O
Hey thanks for the wishes. Wish you both a very happy new year

Arun, Like so many others, I discovered your blog when you were in Mumbai. I’m delighted to see that you are home safely and strolling through the Public Garden. It’s one of my favorite places, too!
You do a beautiful job with your photography and commentary – very enjoyable. I look forward to following your entries during the coming year. Happy New Year to you and M.
Hi Kathleen:
Thank you for your kind words!
Despite the tragic circumstances under which you came to my blog, I generally try to write about the beautiful things in life: people, places and food!
Stay and enjoy! and please do leave a comment often – it reminds me that people DO read what I write, and that motivates me to write more! Ha hA!
