This year we chose to spend a quiet Thanksgiving enjoying a sumptuous and beautiful brunch at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. We started with the breakfast menu of warm croissants and smoked salmon, then crazed on argula salad and gigantic shrimp cocktail; delicious clam chowder, home made mashed potatoes, the bestest dry roasted brussel sprouts and salmon grilled in olive oil, lemon and capers (wow!). We did not venture near the traditional meats.
Meera gobbled up macaroni and cheese and was thrilled at the seeing the chocolate fountain. And then her eyes widened at the multitiered display of desserts. Poor girl! I was good and stuck to a bowl of raspberries, blue berries and black berries.
Once we got home, M & Meera watched a Hindi movie, while I cleared an area of the living room and brought out the Lionel train set. It was the perfect holiday to reflect on all that we are thankful for.
Lovely day. Wondering what Hindi movie?
Thank you and sorry for the delay in replying; the girls watched Gol-Maal. I could only hears the bursts of laughter and knew they were having a great time.
Hope your break was relaxing as well.
